Putting words at the heart of a brand
Copywriting consultancy Cherry has an impressive portfolio of big-name projects but their brand hadn’t been updated for years. They wanted a new look that reflected their quirky style and heavyweight experience and that kept them relevant and exciting. Using Cherry’s founder and chief writer as our inspiration, we created a brand with no imagery, just words, to let their superpower shine through. We used a classic editorial typeface paired with clashing bold colours to home in on their strengths – disruptive ideas and great writing. We introduced stylised cherries as speech marks to link back to the brand name and developed their web and Instagram presence to reflect their cool, quirky style. With the strapline ‘purveyors of cracking ideas’ we highlighted their strategic edge and the power of words to make a difference.
