Walking in a twisted wonderland

How do you make an artisan’s brand stand out in a crowded marketplace? That’s the challenge that artist and entrepreneur Luke Rowlands brought to us, to launch his range of ‘hand-crafted oddities.’ We started by getting to the heart of Luke’s personality. In our brand workshop, we concluded that he wasn’t just a creator; with his street art background and ambitions to produce a line of furniture, he was a curator, too. We also gained interesting insights into Luke’s love of rave culture (and his memorable ambition for his brand to ‘feel like a punch in the d***’). The result? Twisted Wonders. Juxtaposing vivid, neon colourways and elegant typography, we communicated that these are luxury products with an edge. Our social strategy put Luke’s personality and talent at the heart of the proposition, in which he implores his audience to “Reject the regular.”
